Smaller than Life Post-Apocalyptic Urban Landscapes

Lori Nix is a somewhat unconventional landscape photographer. Instead of going out and finding scenes to capture, he creates his own miniature worlds. His newest work, entitled the City, is especially fascinating. Nix sets out to answer the question “What would our city look like if humankind were to disappear?” The result is a post apocalyptic hellscape brought to life by his intricate model work. I find the depiction of the Chinese food restaurant especially chilling.

Is is weird that I actually would totally love a library with trees growing through it? Probably.
